Kindermann takes over from German Thomas Bee (Schafstall – VDL) for a two-year term until 2020. He will be assisted by a board of three vice presidents: the outgoing president, Thomas Bee, Rino Mastrotto (Gruppo Rino Mastrotto – UNIC) and Jean Christophe Muller (Tannerie Haas – FFTM).

During the general assembly that elected Kindermann as President, members of Cotance took stock of the situation of the European tanning industry. The activities for the next two years will focus on two hot issues: the fight against “fake news” which greatly influences the public perception of leather, and the “proliferation of increasingly unpredictable and unreasonable testing demands from customers, notably in the fashion sectors, which add unwarranted unproductive costs on tanners and create further pressure on their margins”.
