Simac Tanning Tech 2019, scheduled from 20 to 22 February at Milan Rho Fair as always concomitantly with Lineapelle, is sold out. On the wave of success of the last editions, the technology exhibition of the leather area has completed the collection of subscriptions within three months from the date of the event. «The spaces in the pavilions are all booked – says Gabriella Marchioni Bocca, president of Simac Tanning Tech – but we keep getting requests for participation». There are over 300 registered exhibitors, including the most important international players in the sector. Also Amilcare Baccini, CEO of Assomac Servizi, confirms that the approximately 19 thousand available square metres have been covered and at the moment it is not possible to obtain other spaces: «We thought of alternative solutions that could have given us more space but it will not be possible to have them for this edition».

As for technological contents, Simac Tanning Tech will as always look forward, in particular to issues related to energy-environmental issues. The exhibiting companies are in fact working to continue to propose innovative solutions where the parameters of efficiency and reduction of the environmental impact will be at the centre of their technological offer.

«Within the framework of the sustainability of production processes, the leather processing sector has also become aware of the need to equip itself with eco-compatible tools and machinery – still says Gabriella Marchioni Bocca, president of Simac Tanning Tech With this push and with a commitment to transparency, Assomac has created the “Supplier of Sustainable Technologies” project, of which the Targa Verde (Green Tag) is the first concrete and voluntary element certified by a third party to attest the impact in terms of CFP (carbon footprint) of the machines produced by the associated companies. The next fair will be an opportunity for companies participating in the project to exhibit and disseminate this distinctive element of technology for a sustainability path made-in-Italy».

In addition to the presence of the best traditional technologies, Simac Tanning Tech will also be able to find new types of machinery, such as digital printing on leather, admixture with the world of textiles, 3D printing and integration to Industry 4.0 for always more interconnected and “smart” machines.
