The current situation of the pandemic at international level has convinced the organisers of APLF-Leather, Materials + and Fashion Access to further postpone the appointment, which was scheduled to take place from 30 March to 1 April, 2021.
The rescheduled event, instead, will have new dates from to 5-7 July 2021.

The decision to postpone it was taken after extensive consultation with industrial partners, associations and, above all, potential exhibitors and buyers. Since APLF fairs receive every year an international parterre of professionals, from over 90 countries, moving the exhibition to July should, in the intent of the organisers, allow a reduction of travel restrictions to Hong Kong and therefore a better inclusion and participation.

“APLF trade shows are the platform where the global industry meets. As event organisers, we will need to make sure that the three-day event offers the best business opportunities for buyers and sellers. Therefore, we had to make a difficult but proactive decision to reschedule the fair in July, in order to ensure the best conditions for all attendees. In the meantime, we will also create digital solutions to keep the relationship between buyers and sellers strong”, said Grace Lee, Event Director of APLF Fairs.

Michael Duck, Director of APLF, added: “I have been involved in organising this event for 26 years and I have never seen the world and all industries as upside down as is is now. Our thoughts go out to all those who along the entire fashion and leather supply chain are suffering the loss of loved ones, income, orders and jobs. We at APLF will do our utmost to ensure that every member of the industry has the best opportunity to restart and relaunch his/her business in the coming year thanks to APLF”.
