An appointment that promises to be an unmissable event dedicated to Sustainability that has been scheduled in Paris for next September 16, the day before the start of the Première Vision Leather. Yves Morin, chairman of the Forum Organising Committee and great expert in technology and social responsibility thanks to a long experience at the head of CTC, the French footwear research centre, presented it to the press during APLF Hong Kong last March. Why a forum on leather sustainability? “We must always remember to be part of the fashion industry and it is time to clearly explain what needs to be done to be truly sustainable, showing the best practices and tools already available”, explained Morin. In addition to experts on all issues related to sustainability, Morin announced the presence of representatives of some of the most important fashion brands such as Hermès and Louis Vuitton who will bring their testimonies.
Scheduled from 9 to 18 at the Maison de la FNTP, on Rue de Berri (métro George V), the forum will be divided into four sessions dedicated to: consumers of fashion and luxury, raw hides, footwear and leather goods.
The conference is organised by Conseil National du Cuir, the federation that unites 19 industrial associations and French unions connected to the leather industry, representing about 8,000 companies and 70,000 employees, and sponsored by Première Vision Paris, APLF and Groupe Sic.
