In the next few days Gemata, a world leading company in the production of leather finishing, will be involved in two very important events directly related to the path it has been undertaking in recent years in Corporate Social Responsibility.
This week the company will host the “Sustainable factories” project as part of the national Green Week festival dedicated to the eco-friendly entrepreneurial realities of the peninsula: the appointment has been arranged for Wednesday morning, 8 June when 30 young people, coming from universities throughout Italy, will visit the main plant in Trissino inside which they will discover the values that make Gemata a model of sustainability in the leather sector.

Always on 8 June, the company will also be protagonist of another project in collaboration with the prestigious British university of Northampton: 20 students of the “Creative Leather Technologies” (ICLT) course will visit the Gemata plant and have the opportunity to see live some finishing tests.
It is a very important academic moment that allows them to deepen their theoretical studies.
Gemata is not new to this type of initiative: in fact, in recent years it has collaborated with the University of Northampton. A partnership that, unfortunately, has had to stop due to the global pandemic but luckily it has now a chance to start again.
