Leather Naturally has released a new membership fee model that should give access to smaller companies in the leather industry to join as a member. Leather Naturally has shown strong growth from 27 to 140 members in the last three years and realizes that a growing membership is necessary to create a stronger and united industry approach to educate and promote leather to influencers, designers, brands and consumers.
Leather Naturally is an industry membership association that has evolved in the last years through a website with various informational factsheets, visibility on brand events and through communications via own social media channels.
The new membership fee model will start with an annual fee of USD 250/ for entrepreneurs, USD 500/ for companies till USD 5 million turnover, USD 1.000/ till USD 10 million while the existing fee will remain at USD 2.000/ for companies over USD 10 million turnover.
According to Jon Clark CEO Prime Asia, one of the founders of Leather Naturally and currently Chairing the Supervisory Council "the leather industry is facing huge image challenges and it is crucial that the companies in the industry, be it big or small, support Leather Naturally through membership to educate and promote leather".
Egbert Dikkers, Global Director Sustainability at Smit & Zoon and chair of the Management Board adds: "We are grateful to our 140 existing members for supporting Leather Naturally and very much welcome new members to join us. We are currently building a new website and reserve a nice spot to highlight each member on it".
