After Prossimapelle Arzignano’s success of last November, the appointment with the sixth edition of the traditional Santa Croce sull’Arno event scheduled for May 8 with the new proposals for the A/W 21/22 season is approaching. In addition to the new fashion articles, visitors to the Tuscan fair organised by UNPAC will be able to evaluate leathers made with sustainable technologies, in line with current regulations and market demands.
In the trend area, each exhibiting company will expose 12 leathers inspired by trends developed by Arianna Mereu for Prossimapelle TrendLab and 12 free inspirational leathers but with reference to the focus: Metal Free Technologies and Sustainability.
More than twenty exhibitors are expected to attend the event who will offer, in addition to chemical auxiliaries, also services, mechanical technology, instruments for analysis and physical tests. For the first time, the exhibition layout involves the use of a tensile structure located in the courtyard of the Tannery Museum, a solution deemed more functional also because it can host all exhibitors on the same level. Only services and catering will remain inside the Museum.
In the afternoon, from 4:30 pm there will be a discussion table, organised under the patronage of the Tuscan Tanners Association, to turn the industrial world’s attention on issues related to the real sustainability of the system, in compliance with Laws, Specifications, Regulations and Environment.
Starting with this edition, for every visitor attending Prossimapelle, both in Santa Croce sull’Arno and Arzignano, UNPAC will create a real/virtual forest on the platform, following all stages of growth online; every tree planted has a unique alphanumeric code and its position is geolocated, to know exactly where it is and follow its growth. “Besides being a valuable initiative from an environmental point of view, it is an excellent solution to help reduce the environmental impact of our supply chain”, explains UNPAC.
