The organisers of SIMAC TANNING TECH, the international exhibitions of machinery and technologies for the footwear, leather goods and tanning industries scheduled at Rho Fiera from 22 to 24 September 2021, announce the closure of the first registration phase of exhibitors with a good result: in fact, there are more than 200 exhibitors, manufacturers of machinery and technological solutions, chemical auxiliaries and service providers for the footwear and leather processing supply chains, who want to return to the limelight and restart by exploiting the international stage offered by Simac Tanning Tech, for a total exhibition area of 9,000 square metres.
The pandemic situation does not discourage the desire to be physically present and demonstrates the value and weight that technology has in these manufacturing chains belonging to the fashion industry. The technology fair for the leather sector is confirmed as the main point of reference to view the best technologies in the sector available on the market and an indispensable meeting and business opportunity for the major players in the international system.
The organising secretariat of the event trusts in the presence of visitors: “We want to confirm this to all international buyers: you can come to Italy, regulations are clear. The European Union and the Italian government have provided specific plans to facilitate activities and business”.
According to the regulations in force in Italy, in fact, all buyers/visitors from authorised countries are allowed to enter Italy for a period not exceeding 120 hours for proven work, health or absolute urgent needs with the obligation to leave the national territory upon expiry of the term.
Moreover, if there is the need to stay on Italian territory for more than 120 hours, the derogation from the obligation of fiduciary isolation and health surveillance for non-deferrable reasons may be granted. The request must be sent directly to the Ministry of Health (email@example.com) which, if successful, will transmit the guidelines which the international buyer must comply with in order to be exempted from fiduciary isolation obligations.
The website of the Italian Ministry of Health, in particular the “Novel Coronavirus” page, is an important tool available to visitors, containing all the necessary information and operating instructions. In particular, the completion of the appropriate European “Passenger Locator Form”, is available at this link.
These provisions apply until July 30, 2021.
Visitors/buyers residing in member countries of the European Union, may use the “EU Digital COVID Certificate”, the digital pass attesting vaccination and/or negativity to COVID.
Finally, special air flights defined as “COVID tested” offer conditions of derogation and exemption from the quarantine needed to enter Italy. The “COVID tested” flights are authorised by the Italian Ministry of Health by means of a special ordinance. Other flight information is available at this link.
